Ben Gurion Airport
Flight Controllers Training Simulator
400 sq. m.
The first civil aviation air traffic control simulator in Israel is located in Ben Gurion Airport and provides training and practicing facilities to the local ground-based controllers. A fast-paced project, the simulator was to be placed in a pre-existing 400sqm building. As the simulator itself is pre-built in one piece, the alterations of the building had to consider both the new facilities and engineering challenges. The infrastructure and operational systems were adjusted to the simulator. Acoustic and solar isolation, accessibility and groundwork for expansion were added to the construction.
