Ben Gurion Airport
Ben Gurion Airport Train Station
75,000 sq. m.
A part of an ongoing collaboration with Israel Rail, the extension of the existing train station, one of the busiest in the country, takes into account operational flexibility, expansion of railroad infrastructure and demand growth as predicted to 2030.
The train is the main public transport means that serves the airport steadily and frequently and as such, the terminal is one of the main public gates to Israel for locals and tourists alike as they enter the country. Its design integrates with Terminal 3's look and feel, using transparent walls for maximum use of natural sunlight. It is designed to serve a high volume of travelers and luggage.
The entrance hall was expanded in consideration of the number of passersby and luggage. Groundwork for tripling the construction's height for the addition of rapid elevators to and from the departure gate was taken into consideration.
